Tony Moraco, chief executive of SAIC, is moving to establish a more direct tie between him and members of his management team in 2014.
Chief Information Officer Bob Fecteau and Chief Communications Officer Lucy Fitch will both report directly to Moraco beginning sometime after Feb. 1, the contractor said, as will Jennifer Smith, senior vice president of corporate development.
The moves form part of a broader effort to bolster SAIC’s operations as it continues to gain daylight from the company’s separation from Leidos, which absorbed some of the legacy SAIC’s healthcare, engineering and national security operations.
“Elevating the three functions to the executive leadership team also is designed to enable SAIC to be more proactive and responsive to market requirements and opportunities,” Moraco said in an announcement.
Sean Sullivan played a formative role in shaping SAIC’s post-separation executive-focus in another capacity as the principal architect for the “future-state” HR model, the International Performance Management Institute said.
Sullivan held that responsibility as part of the executive business model design team and now shapes SAIC’s HR strategy, governance and policy as senior vice president of human resources.
Moraco’s recent management move includes providing other executives with more functional responsibilities in business development, contracts, shared services, government affairs and procurement, among other areas.
“In reflecting over the past year, what I am most excited about is how our people maintained their laser focus on supporting our customers’ missions while much change was occurring all around them,” Moraco told ExecutiveBiz in a recent interview.
