Paul Harrington serves as the Client Development Leader for the U.S. Public Sector Practice  at McKinsey & Co.
In this role, Paul leads a team composed of client development advisors, proposal managers and market research/competitive intelligence resources that work with the PSP Leadership to expand the firm’s ability to serve clients at scale and thereby increase client impact across the federal, state and local governments.
Prior to McKinsey, Paul served as the Vice President, Business Development for the Civilian Solutions Sector at General Dynamics Information Technology, and in a similar role at Vangent, Inc., which was private equity-owned and later acquired by GDIT. Â Â
Before GDIT/Vangent, Paul’s career spanned government consulting at firms including CGI Federal and SRA International, as well as private-sector focused firms such as Johnson & Johnson, Ariba and Andersen Consulting.Â
Paul spent more than five years at Johnson & Johnson, and among other roles, led the J&J Pharmaceutical Services IT organization. JJPS provided global strategic marketing, licensing & acquisition, as well as health economics & pricing capabilities for the Pharmaceutical Sector of J&J.
A former U.S. Army officer, Paul holds an MBA from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Boston University.
