The U.S. Transportation Command has issued a request for information on potential industry sources of an distribution and deployment automated information system.
Transcom said in a FedBizOpps notice posted Jan. 2 the Surface Deployment and Distribution Command’s data integration and enterprise architecture branches need technical engineering support in efforts to deliver surface transportation automation and information services to military personnel.
SDDC also requires integrated mission support for an automated information system as well as for enterprise electronic data interchange, management and quality teams.
Tasks will encompass software maintenance and updating, automation enhancement, system operations maintenance, system change analysis, capabilities development for automated systems, services development and source code redundancy minimization services.
A selected contractor will also provide documentation and information necessary to facilitate transition of the Defense Department‘s Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process into the National Institute of Standards and Technology‘s Risk Management Framework.
Responses to the RFI notice are due Jan. 16.
