Symantec has been described as a “leader” among mobile threat management software vendors in a recent International Data Corp. MarketScape report.
The research firm evaluated Symantec and eight other vendors for its “IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Mobile Threat Management Security Software 2017 Vendor Assessment” report, Symantec said Wednesday.
Vendors were categorized into leaders, participants, contenders and major players as part of the evaluation.
Mike Fey, president and chief operating officer of Symantec, said the company offers an integrated mobile cyber defense technology designed to protect mobile devices and networks that run Android, iOS or Windows.
The IDC report cited Symantec’s Endpoint Protection Mobile platform that works to help organizations predict, detect and prevent security exploits as well as defend against mobile cyberattacks.
