Saab has secured an order from the Sweden’s defense materiel administration to help maintain Gripen C/D fighter aircraft for the Swedish armed forces during 2018.
The company said Tuesday the order exercises an option under a performance-based aircraft support and maintenance contract awarded in May.
Services will cover technical system, publications, spare parts, repairs, ground support and pilot equipment.
Saab will perform work at various company facilities in the Swedish cities of Linkoping, Arboga, Jarfalla, Gothenburg, Vaxjo and Ostersund.
Gripen is designed to support air-to-air, reconnaissance and air-to-surface missions.
