Raytheon has received a potential five-year, $45.4 million contract action to replace current shelters for the transmit array, transmit site monitors and receive site monitors of the U.S. Navy‘s Relocatable Over-the-Horizon Radar system.
The Defense Department said Monday Raytheon will perform contract work in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Virginia and Texas through September 2022.
The Naval Supply Systems Command’s Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk will obligate $1.8 million at the time of award from the Navy’s fiscal 2015 “other” procurement funds.
Raytheon was awarded a $104 million contract last year to help the service branch maintain and operate the ROTHR radar system.
The radar system is designed to detect and track aircraft and ships at long ranges.
