Lockheed Secures Air Force F-16 Engineering, Technical Services Contract

Lockheed Martin has landed a potential $47.8 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to perform engineering and technical services in support of F-16 fighter aircraft.

The Defense Department said Monday Lockheed aims to expand the technical expertise of F-16 system maintainers through the contract.

Work will occur in Utah, Ohio, Arizona, South Carolina, Bahrain, Pakistan, Chile, Jordan, Turkey, Morocco, Taiwan, Oman, Egypt, Iraq, Thailand and Indonesia.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center will obligate $18,214,506 at the time of award from fiscal 2017 foreign military sales funds and operations and maintenance funds.

Lockheed is scheduled to finish contract work by June 30, 2020.
