DJI and Seagate have partnered to develop technologies for unmanned aerial vehicle operators to store, download, manage and share large amounts of data from UAV missions.
Both companies aim to help address the data requirements of UAV users as drone camera systems gain resolution and flight times increase, Seagate said Wednesday.
Michael Perry, director of strategic partnerships at DJI, said the alliance also seeks to help customers identify new approaches to manage data flows from drones.
“Seagate is committed to working together with DJI to evolve UAV workflows so users can focus on what matters most – capturing data in flight to bring new and amazing experiences to the world,” said Tim Bucher, senior vice president of Seagate’s consumer solutions unit.
The partnership expects to unveil an integrated platform later this year.
