US NavyThe U.S. Navy has awarded a $13.8 million cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price contract to Advanced Acoustic Concepts for the procurement of the Common Acoustic Simulation Environment Fidelity Implementation system to support P-8A and MH-60R operators.

The Defense Department said Monday CASE-FI works to provide tactical operational flight trainers and weapons tactics trainers updated anti-software warfare tactical environment platforms.

The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division will obligate $13.4 million from fiscal 2016 Navy aircraft procurement funds for the work to be performed in New York, Florida, Maryland and Missouri through February 2022, DoD added.

According to a notice posted June 17 on the FedBizOpps website, NAWCTSD was required to procure CASE software improvements and documentation for installation into aerial anti-submarine warfare training systems to provide ASW tactical environment upgrades that help provide an environmental simulation similar to real-world at-sea operations.
