DMI will deploy a mobile application meant to help cemetery operations teams manage catalogs and assign location tags at Defense Department national military cemeteries.
The company will provide the Enterprise Interment Services System app and build a common virtual database and network environment for more than 42 military cemeteries across the U.S., DMI said May 24.
DMIÂ intends for the enterprise app to help government and federal agencies consolidate business processes at those facilities and address the needs of military families.
Cemetery personnel will be able to use the app to photograph markers and transmit global positioning system data to a centralized database.
DMI said it will also assist in the transition of data from legacy systems to a VMware-hosted ecosystem.
