Northrop Grumman has ordered about $60.4 million in intermediate-frequency receivers from Kitron for the radar systems of Lockheed Martin-built F-35 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft.
Kitron said Thursday it will also provide technical know-know, create IF radar receiver prototypes and manufacture sub-assembly testing equipment under a manufacturing license agreement with Northrop.
Northrop builds radar technology for integration into F-35s.
Norway-based Kitron provides electronic circuit boards manufacturing, prototyping, material analysis and test development services to customers worldwide.
