Elbit Systems has introduced an unmanned surface vehicle platform the company designed for anti-submarine warfare and mine countermeasure missions.
The 12-meter Seagull USV works to operate maritime vehicles to detect and neutralize underwater mines, the company said Monday.
Seagull has a mission control system, replaceable mission modules, Autonomous Navigation System and command, control, communications, computers and intelligence platforms for situational awareness.
The unmanned platform is designed to perform maritime warfare operations for up to four days and has modular payloads designed for hydrographical, surface force protection and electronic warfare missions.
