Harris Corp. has been selected to integrate the company’s aircraft arrival sequencing system into four airports in Canada.
Harris will deploy its Osyris queue management tool at the Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary hubs in order to update NAV CANADA’s existing arrival management system, Harris said Sept. 9.
Frank Koehne, managing director of Harris’ Exelis Orthogon GmbH, said the service is designed to help “air traffic controllers to plan the arrivals of aircraft into airports while considering the operational constraints on the airport surface and surrounding terminal airspace.â€
NAV CANADA intends for Harris’ queue management system to fulfill the International Civil Aviation Organization’s requirements.
