Saab has been selected to build an anti-armor weapon system for the U.S. Army.
The company is set to deliver the shoulder-launched AT4CS RS preloaded weapon in 2016, Saab said Tuesday.
“This new order demonstrates the continued belief by the customer in the capabilities and versatility of our product, as well as its future potential,” said Gorgen Johansson, head of Saab business area dynamics.
AT4CS RS is designed to combat tanks, heavy combat vehicles, fixed installations, building threats, supply points and other critical assets.
The AT4CS family consists of the AT4 HEAT high explosive anti-tank, confined space and anti-structure tandem systems.
