Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has secured a $280.4 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to provide engineering services.
Engineering Contract Details
The Department of Defense said Friday the deal covers engineering services in support of the Canadian Royal Navy. Under the agreement, Lockheed Martin will provide services supporting the modernization and development of new combat systems to be utilized by ships operating the AEGIS system.
The company will conduct the project in its facility in Moorestown, New Jersey. It is expected to complete the work by January 2028.
The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C. will obligate $126.2 million at the time of the award. The initial amount will come from Canada’s foreign military sales funds, which will not lapse at the end of the current fiscal year.
The original $63.8 million contract involves the establishment of the AEGIS Canadian Surface Combatant land-based test site in New Jersey, which is estimated to be completed by November 2026.
