Marine Autonomy Company ThayerMahan Promotes 2 Executives to President Roles - top government contractors - best government contracting event

ThayerMahan, a Groton, Connecticut-based marine autonomy company, has elevated two of its executives to president positions amid business growth and continued pursuance of government and commercial contracts.

The company said Tuesday John Russ, a 30-year U.S. Navy veteran, has been elevated to president of ocean technologies from vice president of operations and engineering

He now oversees the design and construction of ocean technology systems as well as the delivery of services to defense and government customers, the Connecticut-based .

In his former position, Russ guided marine, engineering, systems integration and research and development activities, resulting in the creation and deployment of the TransparenSea data platform and data collection systems like Outpost, SeaPicket and SeaWatch.

Mike Connor, chairman and CEO of ThayerMahan, noted that the company has witnessed consistent expansion since its establishment, amid the rise in demand for autonomous undersea vehicles and AUV data in the government and commercial sectors.

Apart from Russ, Richard Hine was promoted to president of offshore energy from being COO, CFO and VP of the group, where he played a key role in capital formation, business systems implementation as well as offshore energy and commercial product portfolio development.
