HII has signed an 11.5-year lease agreement with real estate investment trust JBG Smith for a new office on the National Landing mixed-use property in Arlington, Virginia.
The military shipbuilder said Thursday some personnel will relocate to the leased space in the summer of 2023 from an existing company facility in the Navy Yard.
Under the agreement, HII will occupy 36,809 square feet of space at 2451 Crystal Drive and will have signage rights on the building, JBG Smith said.
HII expects to grow its presence in the National Capital Region through the new office, which is not too far from the Pentagon building and the Reagan National Airport.
The company intends to retain its corporate headquarters in Newport News.
