Epirus has unveiled a high-power microwave platform as the latest addition to its Leonidas family of electronic warfare systems.
Leonidas Pod is a portable system that comes with multiple mount options to support various missions and is designed to rapidly respond to changing threat environments by powering up and down within minutes, Epirus said Monday.
“Epirus’ revolutionary approach to power management has ushered in breakthrough electronic warfare systems to fill immediate capability gaps,” said Andy Lowery, chief product officer at Epirus.
“We look forward to working with our partners as we continue to drive mission success, support critical national security efforts and expand into new markets,” Lowery added.
The new product offering came two years after Epirus launched its ground-based Leonidas counter-electronic weapon system, which features precision strike and counter-drone swarm capabilities.
In January, Epirus was selected as one of the four companies by the Army Applications Laboratory for the Soldier Power Cohort to explore and build technologies that can generate, manage, store and distribute power to warfighters deployed in expeditionary environments.
In December, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency tapped Epirus to develop software algorithms, source code and artificial intelligence models that can help operators detect electromagnetic threats in a matter of minutes.
