Linda Bixby, director of academic programs at LMI, has been appointed to join the advisory board of the Pennsylvania State University's Center for Supply Chain Research.
Bixby will serve alongside other representatives from various companies such as Google Cloud, IBM, Cisco and Walmart as part of her new role, LMI said Tuesday.
The center is established to educate and conduct research efforts on supply chain management and build a community of students and members from industry and academia.
Pat Tamburrino, vice president of logistics at LMI, said the company teamed up with Penn State to create coalitions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
LMI has more than 30 faculty affiliates from Penn State's Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems.
Sharon Hays, chief technology officer at LMI, said Bixby helps the LMI Research Institute drive research efforts on the areas of supply chain and logistics to accommodate government clients.Â
