Andrew Knaggs, former chief operating officer of Falls Church, Virginia-based consulting firm Pacem Solutions International, has been promoted to serve as the company’s CEO, replacing Cory Mills.
Knaggs is the founder of Washington, D.C.-based law firm Knaggs Law PLLC and served as deputy assistant secretary at the Department of Defense from 2017 to 2019, Pacem said Friday.
He held various positions in the legal sector prior to his appointment as Pacem’s COO in late 2020. He was an officer at the U.S. Army Special Forces earlier in his career.
Aside from his defense and private sector roles, Knaggs additionally holds an adjunct professor position at the George Washington University Law School and serves as a member of Evolution Metals’ advisory board.
Mills, on the other hand, will continue serving as executive chairman of Pacem’s board of directors in support of the company’s long-term strategic goals.
Pacem’s portfolio encompasses risk management, training and consultancy services including risk management, business enablement and global tracking support. The company holds certifications such as the International Organization for Standardization’s 9001:2015 and 14001 designations.
