Sentar has been certified as an independent third party assessment organization under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.Â
The 3PAO certification authorizes Sentar to assess and recommend approvals and help cloud service providers prepare for their products' accreditation, the company said Monday.
The Huntsville, Alabama-based cyber intelligence company underwent a stringent assessment process by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation to receive the FedRAMP 3PAO designation and validate compliance with the International Organization for Standardization and the International Electrotechnical Commission's requirements.
"We look forward to working closely with CSPs on their FedRAMP assessments to assist in the industry-wide effort to protect our government’s crucial data," said Darren Kraabel, president of Sentar.
A FedRAMP certification allows a government contractor to offer its services and products to the Department of Defense and other federal agencies.
