The Department of Defense has certified CACI International’s Corian counter-small unmanned aerial system technology suite for use at DoD facilities following criteria assessments by the U.S. Army.
CACI said Monday that the Army Joint C-sUAS Office issued the approval to CACI, enabling the company to provide its Corian offering to DoD customers for sUAS detection, tracking and neutralization.
Corian utilizes the radio-frequency spectrum and a signal library to operate and transmit UAS data. The fixed/semi-fixed C-sUAS tool also works to detect and mitigate targets within the U.S. military’s groups 1 to 3 drone classifications.
The Army downselected Corian from a pool of more than 40 technologies under consideration, according to CACI.
“CACI looks forward to expanding our base of installed systems worldwide and continuing our support to the Defense Department with CORIAN for immediate use, future research and testing to counter UAS threats,†said John Mengucci, president and CEO of CACI and a 2020 Wash100 awardee.
CACI noted that the Army JCO analyzed Corian’s system efficiency, sustainment, usability and interaction as part of the evaluation phase.
