The Department of Housing and Urban Development wants information on potential vendors that can replace a legacy system used to track and manage HUD homes and support the department’s financial and accounting processes.
A sources-sought notice published Friday says HUD plans to award a potential five-year contract by the end of calendar year 2020 to procure a cloud-based software platform that would replace the Single Family Acquired Asset Management System.
The proposed web-based system must monitor acquired property, maintain and dispose of property and report and track status of inventory. The platform should help HUD track and report on properties for sale and process financial transactions related to lease, repair, sale and listing activities.
The department wants the proposed SAMS replacement system to have server and client-side input validation and reporting and technical auditing features. The system should use application programming interface-based connectivity and should be deployable within HUD’s cloud environment or a Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program-approved cloud.
Responses to the request for information are due March 24.
