Lockheed Martin has received a potential two-year, $74.4M contract from the U.S. Navy to provide sequencer technology for shipborne missile launching platforms to Finland and South Korea.

The company will produce, assemble, test and deliver Vertical Launch System LSEQs in the MK 5 Mod 2 configuration under the foreign military sales contract, the Department of Defense said Monday.

Work is initially scheduled to conclude in March 2021 and would extend through March 2022 if all options are exercised. DoD noted the firm-fixed-price contract has a $25.4M initial value.

VLS is designed to hold and fire missiles on naval platforms for anti-air warfare, land attack and anti-submarine missions.
