SpaceX’s Dragon CRS-19 cargo spacecraft has traveled back to Earth after delivering supplies and experimental payloads to the International Space Station, Space.com reported Tuesday.
Dragon carried over 5.7K pounds of payload to the ISS last month and landed in the Pacific Ocean on Jan. 7 at 10:41 a.m. EST.
Payload delivered during the mission include more than 2.1K pounds of gear and 38 experiments such as robotic external leak locators, barley seeds and bone and muscle loss studies.
Northrop Grumman’s Cygnus-12 spacecraft, launched in November last year, was docked at an ISS port near Dragon. Both Northrop and SpaceX hold Commercial Resupply Services contracts with NASA, with the recent Dragon mission serving as the latter’s 19th mission under the program.
SpaceX is slated to conduct an in-flight abort test this month ahead of the Crew Dragon commercial crew mission.
