Ricardo Defense has received a subcontract of an undisclosed sum from General Motors’ defense segment to support deployment and product logistics requirements for infantry squad vehicles.
Ricardo said Tuesday it will provide integrated product support services along with training materials and vehicle technical manuals for maintenance crew and operators as part of the subcontract.
David Albritton, president at GM Defense, said Ricardo’s sustainment and military fleet readiness expertise will potentially help the former meet the Army’s ISV requirements.
GM Defense secured a $1M other transaction agreement from the U.S. Army to build two infantry squad vehicle prototypes for testing and evaluation purposes at the Aberdeen Test Center in Maryland. The company anticipates receiving a production and deployment contract award decision for the vehicles in the second quarter of fiscal year 2020.
