Airbus has received a potential five-year, $37.7M contract to perform maintenance and logistics support services for five multimission helicopters operated by the U.S. Navy.
The company will provide maintenance engineering services to help the service branch support ground and flight training efforts as well as integrate Navy Test Pilot School modifications into the UH-72 Lakota aircraft, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Work under the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will also cover the retention of the aircraft’s accreditation under the Federal Aviation Administration.
Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division awarded the contract as the contracting activity and the Navy will provide funding at the issuance of task orders. Contract work will run through January 2025 at Patuxent River, Md.
