York Space Systems has unveiled an office in Arlington, Va., as part of efforts to showcase real-time mission operation services for government and military customers.
The company said Thursday it will offer satellite mission planning, in-orbit mission tasking, national and systems business development services through the new facility.
"We are in an ultra-competitive environment when it comes to space technology and the U.S. can and should be at the forefront of this innovation," said Charles Beames, executive chairman of York Space Systems.
Beames added the opening of the office provides the company an opportunity to coordinate with industry partners and engage with the Department of Defense, Congress and the intelligence community.
York also plans to establish an operations center at its new site in addition to the Mission Operation Center located at the aerospace firm's Denver headquarters.
The company noted its government clients in the Washington D.C. area include the DoD, IC, NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
