GenXComm, a Texas-based radio frequency systems provider, has landed a contract of undisclosed value from the U.S. Army to integrate an analog interference cancellation technology into the service branch’s tactical tools.
Services under the contract are intended to develop a prototype co-site interference module that will be tested and assessed by the Army Combat Capabilities Development Command prior to its potential implementation, the company said Wednesday.
The service branch seeks to optimize bandwidth, allow simultaneous transmit and receive communications with analog radio frequency integrated circuits and mitigate potential interference between Army platforms.
Sriram Vishwanath, co-founder and CEO at GenXComm, said the company will use its self-interference cancellation offering to yield full-duplex wireless communication.
“Our contract with the Army Applications Laboratory presents an opportunity to utilize our unique photonics platform for advanced signaling capabilities within tactical edge devices,†added Vishwanath.
