HII Hosts Event to Support Community Service Efforts; Andy Green Quoted

Huntington Ingalls Industries’ technical solutions unit held an event that aimed to encourage community service across the company’s workforce.

HII said Monday its Global Day of Caring event sent employees to take part in a variety of corporate social responsibility efforts in the U.S., Canada and South Korea.

The effort supported a range of organizations, including those serving educational, youth and veterans communities.

“I’m both proud and pleased that so many of our employees took time out of their weekends to work together in our communities," said Andy Green, president of HII Technical Solutions and a former Wash100 winner.
