The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts is seeking information on procuring off-premise cloud services to address information technology computing and storage requirements across the country's judiciary system.
In a FedBizOpps notice published Oct. 21, the Judiciary cited its interest in establishing a hybrid cloud environment and knowing a potential vendors' previous experiences in working with government clients, including how companies were able to help federal customers select from a variety of cloud technology options and whether those platforms are compatible with those offered by other providers.
AOUSC also inquired about the security features of cloud offerings as well as performance monitoring, control and reporting processes that providers use.
The Judiciary uses on-premise OpenStack platforms from Red Hat and VMWare as well as Office 365 applications in Microsoft's Azure environment.
Interested parties can submit input through Nov. 5.
