RBC Signals Eyes Gov't-Backed Tech Prototyping Projects as Space Enterprise Consortium Member

RBC Signals has signed up for the Space Enterprise Consortium as the Seattle-based company aims to expand work, partnerships and customer base in the government sector.

The company said Tuesday it offers a space communications-as-a-service platform intended to help public and private sector customers download data from satellites in low- and medium-Earth or geostationary orbit.

Ronald Faith, president and chief operating officer at RBC Signals, said the company seeks to support the government by participating in federally funded space technology prototyping efforts through the consortium.

“As a qualified small business and a non-traditional contractor, we look forward to leveraging SpEC’s unique ability to connect us with additional government customers," Faith added.

RBC Signals maintains more than 70 antennas in 50 locations as part of its global network infrastructure.

The Advanced Technology Institute-managed SpEC, which has more than 300 industry and academic  organizations, aims to develop space technology prototypes via other transaction agreements with government customers.
