Leidos has received a potential six-year, $47M contract to provide data management and maintenance services to support the U.S. Air Force’s component responsible for ensuring nuclear treaty compliance by signatory nations.
The Reston, Va.-based firm said Thursday the follow-on award encompasses a range of support services for the U.S. National Data Center within the Air Force Technical Applications Center, which operates as a surveillance entity that monitors and handles technical data on foreign nuclear activities.
As part of the NDC Operations Support and Studies contract, Leidos will develop, test and integrate software and hardware intended for processing geophysical data such as seismic signatures and other relevant phenomena.
The company will also perform database and system administration, configuration management and sustainment support under the agreement.Â
“With more than 20 years of experience supporting AFTAC to monitor nuclear weapons test-ban treaties, we have a deep understanding of this customer’s mission,†said Ed Whitehouse, vice president at Leidos’ C4ISR services and solutions segment.
Work under the cost-plus-fixed-fee and indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will take place at Patrick Air Force Base in Florida.
