The Internal Revenue Services has posted a draft solicitation to seek industry input in line with an initiative to use Pilot IRS, a procurement vehicle for tools to automate and optimize the agency’s contract information, FCW reported Monday.
Pilot IRS aims to develop a method to speed up the agency’s decision-making capacities and streamline proposals and solicitations for companies. The initiative will launch $7M grant challenges in various technologies and areas of expertise to address IRS concerns.
According to a FedBizOpps notice, IRS is looking for approaches and technologies that will help the agency refine information and mitigate manual rework in data enhancements. The agency accepted responses to the notice until Friday.
IRS is slated to hold a teleconference on Aug. 14 to answer queries and respond to comments on the solicitation.
