Amazon Web Services has included Coalfire to its list of launch partners under the Authority to Operate program. Coalfire said Tuesday the program will enable the company to offer security automation services that will help AWS customers achieve compliance in various frameworks including the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement and the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
The ATO on AWS initiative seeks to assist partners in implementing strategies and tools on security and compliance services to speed up authorization processes for clients. Coalfire noted it helped Innovest Systems reach audit-ready status in six months through the use of AWS security orchestration and automation approaches.
“Our customers on AWS have already seen significant time and cost savings with our automated compliance strategies, leveraging AWS SAO methodologies,†said Adam Kerns, a managing principal at Coalfire’s cyber risk advisory group.
