Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory has received a $24.9M contract to help Washington Headquarters Services modify existing procurement programs.

JHU APL will work to identify and reduce the technical risks of these programs via applied research, the Department of Defense said Monday. Services will include prototyping, test planning, rapid fielding and experimentation.

Work will take place in Laurel, Md., through May 30, 2020. The full $24.9M will be obligated from fiscal 2019 operations, maintenance, research, development, test and evaluation funds.

The agency awarded the contract on a sole-source basis.
