Honeywell Gets $70M Army Engine Revitalization Support Contract Modification - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Honeywell will provide hardware services to the U.S. Army's Total InteGrated Engine Revitalization program under a two-year, $70.4M contract modification.

Work will take place in Phoenix, Ariz., through June 2021, the Department of Defense said Tuesday. 

Army Contracting Command will use fiscal 2019 working capital funds to cover the full obligated amount.

The company is working with the service branch reduce operational and support costs for the AGT1500 gas turbine engine used on the M1 Abrams family of vehicles.

The TIGER program aims to increase the durability of fielded engines and extend the life span of the battle tanks.
