An Alion Science and Technology subsidiary has received a $24.9M contract modification from the U.S. Navy to provide professional support services to the Naval Sea Systems Command’s deputy commander for surface warfare.
Alion-IPS Corp. will support SEA 21 in areas such as program management, surface ship modernization, surface ship readiness, business and financial management and information technology, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
The contractor will help the command manage accessibility, processing and storage of electronic records and classified data, as well as ensure naval ships meet fleet life cycle requirements.
Work under the modification runs through November and will take place in Washington, D.C., Virginia, California, Florida and other locations outside the U.S., including Bahrain and Japan.
The Navy will obligate the full contract value from its fiscal 2019 operations and maintenance at the time of award.
