Microsoft has created a set of tools for government clients to analyze and manage costs of information technology operations in a cloud environment.
The company said Monday cost management features are now availabe to Azure Government and pay-as-you-go customers.
One feature in the system will allow users to download Azure usage files and validate usage charges on their monthly invoice. The files can also be viewed through an application programming interface, the company added.
Another tool helps customers to export cost data to Azure storage accounts and combine data in external systems with their own data.
