Michael Roberts, formerly vice president and general counsel of Crowley Maritime, has taken a new role as senior VP for government relations.
He will transfer from Jacksonville, Fla., to Washington, D.C., and help increase the company’s presence in the region to help address key regulatory and policy issues that affect the maritime and logistics sector.
Roberts, a founding member of the American Maritime Partnership, has nearly 30 years of government and private law experience.
Parker Harrison, most recently SVP of procurement and risk management at Crowley, will succeed Roberts as SVP and general counsel. She joined the company in 2013 as director of claims within the risk management department and became a part of its senior leadership team five years later.
