The Office of the Director of National Intelligence has issued a request for information for vendors that could assist the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity in the collection of data from multi-camera video networks.
ODNI said in the RFI posted Tuesday on FedBizOpps that the contract will support IARPA’s computer vision research focused on tracking and re-identification of persons in security camera networks.
“Further research in the area of computer vision within multi-camera video networks may support post-event crime scene reconstruction, protection of critical infrastructure and transportation facilities, military force protection and in the operations of national special security events,†ODNI said in the document.
IARPA prefers vendors that could collect video data from various sources and events, such as a large camera network, a large region, an urban or semi-urban environment, during weather conditions and from videos with 5K pedestrians.
Interested parties can submit responses to the RFI through May 10.Â
