Brian Cairns, a more than 18-year federal government and industry veteran, has been named vice president of business development and strategy for government services at Reston, Va.-based technology consulting firm Ventera.
He will lead Ventera’s efforts to grow software development, cloud, information technology modernizaton, enterprise architecture, agile, user centered design, DevOps, automation and data-related offerings, Ventera said Thursday.
His corporate career included business development positions at Leidos, IBM, True North Equities and Science Applications International Corp.
Before he joined the private sector in 2005, he worked as deputy chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security, director of writers at the White House and deputy secretary for administration in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
