Forcepoint has created a division that will explore methods to integrate cybersecurity procedures with behavioral science methodology in a move to help government and enterprise customers secure data.
X-Labs aims to apply data insights from Forcepoint products in efforts to develop a behavioral science-driven Converged Security Platform designed for risk-adaptive and automated protection across both cloud and on-premises infrastructure, the company said Tuesday.
The platform will work to deploy the company's Adaptive Trust Profile containing artificial intelligence and analytics-driven attributes, models and inferences.
ATP is intended to calculate “risk scores†and integrate with behavior-based analytics that get sensor data from cloud, endpoint and third-party applications.
Nicolas Fischbach, chief technology officer of Forcepoint, said the company established X-Labs to study digital identities and cyber behaviors, especially during interactions with intellectual property and critical data.
Fischbach added chief information security officers "need a security partner that can pinpoint normal and abnormal behavior on today’s hybrid IT environments."
X-Labs professionals are deployed to various locations in the U.S., Ireland, U.K. and Finland.
