Celeste O’Dea, business development director for public sector technology at Oracle, has said cloud-based technologies could help federal agencies recruit a new generation of public sector workers and retain existing workforce.
O’Dea wrote in a Nextgov article published Friday that human capital management and talent acquisition systems on the cloud could aid agencies in streamlining recruitment procedures and outcomes.
She noted that the adoption of cloud-based learning management tools promote retention by enabling agencies to deliver and oversee online or classroom-based training sessions.
“A cloud implementation can also ease the security burden for federal agencies,†O’Dea wrote.
“By automating many of the more mundane tasks around security, cloud-based tools can help overwhelmed cybersecurity teams free up talented individuals to pursue more high-value initiatives.â€
