Health information technology company Liberty IT Solutions has received a $3.9M task order to help the Department of Veterans Affairs sustain an electronic platform used to track medical products and equipment as well as locate staff and patients at VA hospitals.
Liberty said Monday it will collaborate with Perspecta to maintain the current Real-Time Location Systems server through updates and patches.
"We are excited to be sustaining this key initiative and to once again be working alongside VA and our partner Perspecta on another important program,†said Liberty CEO Bill Greene.
RTLS was built to integrate the department's asset tracking, sterile processing workflow, cardiac catheterization lab supply tacking and temperature monitoring systems.
Liberty is a Herndon, Va.-based veteran-owned company that provide health IT support services to the government sector.
