David Maune, an associate vice president and senior project manager of the geospatial group at Dewberry, has been reappointed to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration‘s hydrographic services review panel.
He will serve for an additional four years on the group that offers advice to the agency on coastal resilience and navigational safety matters, Dewberry said Oct. 4.
Maune currently co-chairs the panel’s planning and engagement working group focused on developing programs and authoring issue papers containing recommendations to the NOAA administrator.
He also manages Dewberry’s various projects with U.S. states and counties, including an effort to map Alaska in line with National Map Accuracy Standards.
The nearly 60-year industry veteran previously led mapping programs for NOAA, the U.S. Geological Survey, Army Corps of Engineers and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
He serves as the principal author and editor of “Digital Elevation Model Technologies and Applications: The DEM Users Manual.”
