The U.S. Navy seeks information on companies that can offer satellite and ground command and control services to support a facility within the Naval Research Laboratory’s Blossom Point Tracking Facility in Maryland.
The branch will accept responses to its sources sought notice through Oct. 12 and use feedback to develop a strategy for possible future acquisition of contractor services necessary to address BPTF’s managerial, maintenance, engineering and technical requirements, according to a FedBizOpps summary posted Friday.
BPTF provides command-and-control services for satellite and payload systems that that support the Navy’s space programs. The facility also employs NRL’s Neptune Common Ground Architecture to help facilitate spaceflight missions.
The Navy may seek a contractor to help BPTF manage satellite and ground C2 functions.
