The U.S. Air Force has awarded Lockheed Martin a potential five-year, $47.5M firm-fixed-price contract to provide repair and overhaul services for digital countermeasure receivers deployed in B-2 Spirit stealth bombers.
The Defense Department said Tuesday the service branch will obligate working capital funds upon issuance of subsequent task orders under the contract.
Work will take place in Owego, N.Y through Aug. 31, 2023.
The Northrop Grumman-manufactured B-2 bomber is a low-observable, multi-role bomber designed to deliver conventional as well as nuclear munitions.
The strategic heavy bomber can handle long-range and all-altitude attack missions reaching 50K feet.
