SOS International has received a potential $55M contract to help the U.S. Army manage wideband enterprise satellite systems designed to facilitate military communications.
The company said Monday it will help the Army’s program executive office for enterprise information systems to deliver voice, data and video services to WESS Data Communications Network users worldwide.
Work also covers satcom engineering, installation, operation, integration, maintenance and life cycle support.
SOSi President and CEO Julian Setian said the sole-source award demonstrates synergies the company has anticipated after its acquisition of Reston, Va.-based information technology services contractor STG.
Setian added SOSi seeks to expand its presence across Army, U.S. Air Force and joint operations support by helping to address military satcom requirements through the contract.
