CACI International has received a five-year, $48 million task order from the U.S. Navy to provide engineering and technical support services to a Naval Surface Warfare Center division that manages the service branch’s ordnance materials.
The company said Tuesday it will help NSWC’s Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division to analyze, test, evaluate and manage logistics work on multiple gun weapons systems.
Work also covers support for acquisition, management, storage, transportation and deployment of naval ammunition and missile platforms.
DeEtte Gray, president of CACI’s U.S. operations and a three-time Wash100 winner, said the company is committed to supporting the Navy as the service branch aims to sustain weapons used to defend against various threats.
The order was awarded under the SeaPort II Omnibus Engineering and Technical Support Services contract and represents continued engineering work for the company’s surveillance and reconnaissance business.
